Shapely Penguins

I was inspired by this post when I created this lesson on shape, I just changes a few pieces like the body and earmuffs so that they were geometric shapes we would be learning about.   Students were read the book When a Line Bends a Shape Begins and we discussed shapes and their sides and angles.  These are the steps we took to create our penguins, they used tracers to help them on some of the shapes.  We used ovals, circles, triangles, octagons and rectangles.  We are in the process of making them now, so I don't have student samples to show you...yet :)
